Passport Services

The Embassy of Kenya in Korea processes Passports in collaboration with the Embassy of Kenya in Japan.
In this regard,kindly await for the dates and timeline for when passport processing
will take place to be announced before you visit the Embassy for this exercise.

1.NEW PASSPORT AND PASSPORT REPLACEMENT

  1. Applicants MUST appear in person to present his/her application.
  2. Duly completed ecitizen.go.ke pre-filled passport application form.
  3. 2 copies of E-citizen payment Invoice
  4. Original and a copy of Kenya birth certificate.
  5. Two (2) current passport size photos.
  6. Original and copy of Kenyan National ID Card
  7. One copy of applicants’ parent/s National ID card or passport.
  8. One photocopy of recommender’s ID card.

2. REPLACEMENT OF LOST/STOLEN OR MUTILATED PASSPORT

  1. Applicants MUST appear in person to present his/her application.
  2. Duly completed ecitizen.go.ke pre-filled passport application form.
  3. 2 copies of E-citizen payment Invoice
  4. Two (2) current passport size photos.
  5. Original and copy of Kenyan National ID Card
  6. One copy of applicants’ parent/s National ID card or passport.
  7. Copy of lost passport if available (last three pages).
  8. A sworn affidavit and a police abstract are required
  9. A detailed explanation letter is required to explain the circumstances of the loss or mutilation.

3.PASSPORT FOR A CHILD UNDER 18 YEARS

  1. Applicants MUST appear in person to present his/her application.
  2. Duly completed ecitizen.go.ke pre-filled passport application form.
  3. 2 copies of E-citizen payment Invoice
  4. Original and a copy of Kenya birth certificate.
  5. Two (2) current passport size photos.
  6. Duly completed * Parental Consent Form *
  7. One copy of applicants’ parent/s National ID card or passport.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE

  1. ALL Passport applications MUST be completed through ecitizen.go.ke You will be required to download and print out the form at the end, sign, date the form and attach the required documents. Thereafter submit your documents in person at the Embassy for biometric capture.
  2. Please ensure you have read and understood the guidelines and Requirements before submitting your application.
  3. Use clear passport size photos with all facial features clearly outlined against a white background without shadows in the background.
  4. Persons born abroad must apply and obtain a Kenya born abroad birth certificate first. A copy of the Foreign Birth certificate is to be submitted as well. (Korean birth certificate MUST be translated if not in English language )
  5. All minors (Under 18 years) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
  6. Uploaded documents must be scanned in picture format (.JPEG or .PNG)
  7. Dual Citizens are required to declare their other nationality prior to renewing Kenya passports. These include persons born before 27th August 1987 and who acquired other citizenship status before 27th August 2010 need to show proof of having regained Kenya citizenship.
  8. Those required to apply to regain Kenya citizenship are expected to await completion of the regaining process.
